National Survey : Children with Disability and Special Needs in Education
KISE CONDUCTS A NATIONAL SURVEY ON CHILDREN WITH DISABILITY
Kenya Institute of Special Education in conjunction with the Ministry of Education is carrying out a National Survey on children with disability and Special needs in education in Kenya.
The exercise which is to be carried out in all the 47 counties aims at ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promotes lifelong learning opportunities for all.
The survey will run from January to June 2017 with its key respondents including parents, guardians of children with disability, head teachers and teachers in both regular and Special Needs schools.
The survey will help build and upgrade education facilities that are child, disability and gender sensitive and provide safe nonviolent, inclusive and effective learning environment for all.
